The History

The " Cultura e Musica " Association started his activity in 1984 at Barletta.
We organized till now more than 800 Concerts with world-wide reputed Solists, Ensembles and Orchestrs who were in Concert Seasons we realized until today.

Since 1990 the Association organize in Barletta the Competition for Young Musicians " Città di Barletta " that take place every year during the first two weeks of May and every year it has an attendance of 400 musicians coming from all over the World.

Since 1997 takes place, during the second week of may , the International Piano Competition " Mauro Paolo Monopoli Prize " that is dedicated to the young great pianist who died before his time in 1996.

Since 1990 the Association organize International Courses of Music Interpretation into the Advanced Music Academy " G. Curci " with Master Classes and Annual and Biennial Courses.

During the 2012 we will organize:

The 15th International Piano Competition"Mauro Paolo Monopoli" Prize
from 7th to 12th May 2012

The 22nd International Competition for Young Musicians " Città di Barletta "
Young Soloist ( strings and singers ) and Chamber Music Prize from 26th to 28th April
Young Pianist from May 2nd to May 6th 2012

The 28th Concert Season
( 16 concerts from January to December 2012).
